"The Truth" is a conversation with an ancient demon, the Demon of Self-Sabotage.
The Demon inside her is already dead in the song, so she can finally be reborn and become her true self, without the dark shadow of Self-Sabotage. She merges with it and retraces the path that led her to The Truth about her deepest feelings, before letting the spirit go.
Vera tries to reproduce all the different emotions self-sabotage makes her feel, through her crystalline vocals, a scratchy drum machine and two synths, one huge and strong and the other delicate and continuous.
The choice of using very few sounds for the recording is not by chance, self-sabotage comes in silence, it's just you two alone and most of the time you don't even realize it's there, A silky violence, that can be defeated.
